What information is required to become a community member?

A brief member profile is the only information required for joining the community. Your member profile will include basic contact information and demographic characteristics, such as gender and age.

Will my profile information be sold or given to other companies?

No.

Information collected by Johns Hopkins Medicine via these surveys is not sold or distributed to any company. All information is strictly confidential. Your name will never be sold, exchanged or distributed to any other party without your express acknowledgement and permission. See our privacy policy for complete details.

How long will I remain in the community?

You can remove yourself from the community at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” button found at the bottom of the emails sent from the community. You can also unsubscribe by logging in at hopkinsmedicinevirtualadvisors.org and selecting “Update User Info.” On the bottom of the “User Profile Information” page, you will find an “Unsubscribe” button.

As a member, how many surveys do I have to complete?
  

We will send a maximum of two activities per month. Each survey takes less than 15 minutes to complete. We encourage you to participate in as many activities as you are invited to.

How long will I have to complete each survey?

Each survey will vary, but most will ask for a response within 72 hours.

Will I be able to select the types of surveys in which I participate?

We’ll send you invitations to surveys that pertain to the outlined preferences you reported in your member profile survey.

Are there any prizes for filling out the survey?
